Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup (150g) dry yellow mustard powder
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) filtered water
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp (3g) fine sea salt
  • 1 tsp (5g) honey
  • 1/4 tsp (1g) ground turmeric

Instructions:

  1. Combine the dry yellow mustard powder and ground turmeric in a non-reactive glass or stainless steel mixing bowl.
  2. Slowly whisk in the filtered water, stirring until the mixture forms a thick, smooth paste with no dry pockets.
  3. Stir in the apple cider vinegar, fine sea salt, and honey. Whisk vigorously for 1-2 minutes until the texture becomes glossy and velvety.
  4. Transfer the mustard into an airtight glass jar and seal tightly.
  5. Place the jar in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours to allow the flavors to mellow and the bitterness to disappear.
