Ingredients:

  • 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar
  • 2 to 3 tbsp (30-45ml) milk
  • 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch (0.5g) salt

Instructions:

  1. Sift the powdered sugar into a medium mixing bowl to remove lumps and ensure a smooth emulsion.
  2. Add the vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk to the bowl.
  3. Whisk vigorously from the center outward until the glaze reaches a thick ribbon consistency, where it holds its shape for 3 seconds after falling from the whisk. If too stiff, add the remaining tablespoon of milk one teaspoon at a time.
  4. Transfer the glaze into a piping bag and pipe designs onto completely cooled cookies.
  5. Allow cookies to sit undisturbed at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes until the surface is dry to the touch.
