Ingredients:
- 2 cups (240g) powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 tbsp (30-45ml) milk
- 1 tsp (5ml) vanilla extract
- 1 pinch (0.5g) salt
Instructions:
- Sift the powdered sugar into a medium mixing bowl to remove lumps and ensure a smooth emulsion.
- Add the vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk to the bowl.
- Whisk vigorously from the center outward until the glaze reaches a thick ribbon consistency, where it holds its shape for 3 seconds after falling from the whisk. If too stiff, add the remaining tablespoon of milk one teaspoon at a time.
- Transfer the glaze into a piping bag and pipe designs onto completely cooled cookies.
- Allow cookies to sit undisturbed at room temperature for 30 to 60 minutes until the surface is dry to the touch.
